Emergency roof repair, same-day callout

Emergency roof repair means stopping water coming into your home first, then fixing it properly. We run same-day callouts for genuine emergencies, seven days a week, from 8am to 6pm. That is not the same as 24 hours a day, and we will not pretend it is, but within those hours you get a real person answering, usually Luke himself, and a roofer on site the same day for anything urgent.

What counts as an emergency

• Active water ingress into a room, ceiling or wall
• Storm damage that has left part of the roof exposed or tiles missing
• A chimney pot or section of ridge that has come loose or fallen
• Guttering torn away in high wind, leaving water running down the wall
• A tree branch or debris impact that has broken through the roof covering

If you are not sure whether your situation qualifies, call and describe it, we would rather have that conversation than have you wait unnecessarily or, equally, sit with active water ingress thinking it can wait.

What we do on arrival

The first priority is making the roof weathertight, a temporary tarpaulin or emergency patch to stop further water ingress if a full permanent repair cannot be completed the same visit due to weather or the extent of damage. Once the property is protected, we assess the full extent, photograph it, and give you a written fixed price for the permanent repair.

Our hours, honestly stated

We are open 8am to 6pm, seven days a week, including weekends. If you call within those hours with a genuine emergency, we prioritise you the same day. If Luke is already on a roof and cannot answer immediately, leave a message, calls get returned the same day. We do not claim to be available around the clock overnight, because we are not, and we would rather tell you that plainly than have you rely on a promise we cannot keep.

What to do while you wait

If safe to do so, move furniture and belongings away from where water is coming in, and place a container to catch drips rather than let water spread across a ceiling or floor. Do not go into the loft in the dark or attempt any roof access yourself, that is exactly the kind of situation that turns a roof problem into a more serious accident. Photograph the damage from inside if you can do so safely, useful for us and for any insurance claim, and switch off any electrics near the affected area if water is close to a light fitting or socket.

What happens after the immediate fix

Once the property is safe and weathertight, we come back to complete the permanent repair as soon as conditions allow, usually within a few days, and keep you updated on timing rather than leave you guessing. The same 10 year written workmanship guarantee and £1,000,000 public liability insurance apply to the permanent repair regardless of how urgently it started.
